Media and Panel is an independent, specialist unit of IMRB International, incorporated in 1992. MPG handles different kinds of research both syndicated and customized. MPG has 4 different verticals:
MarketPulse is country’s largest syndicated consumer panel with 75,000 sample homes delivering deep understanding and insights on consumer behavior. IMRB provides specialist, tailored solutions to the marketers through advance analytics and drill downs.
Retail Unit works on a concept of integrated research based consultancy. IMRB Retail aims to leverage the expertise on consumer behavior and create an offer that spans every stage of the retailer-manufacturer-shopper engagement.
MPG is home to the largest dedicated media research unit in the country. The media unit is a part of Kantar Media Research (KMR), offering customized and syndicated studies across print, television, radio, and out of home categories. It has to its credit the Target Group Index (TGI), a global survey from KMR involving 60 countries and is India’s only single source survey.
MindTech Systems is the unit within MPG which supports the in-house software needs. Besides in-house software MindTech licenses its proprietary software and takes up client sponsored developmental projects. MPG currently operates out of Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai.
The Media Division
The Media Division is the only specialist media research group in the country, set up as early as 1990. It has more than 80 man years of media research experience. We take pride in being the pioneers of Media Industry Gold Standards viz. Television Audience Measurement (TAM), National Readership Survey (NRS), Target Group Index (TGI), Radio Audience Measurement (RAM), Web Audience Measurement (WAM).

The panel team consists of 60 highly trained & experienced researchers/analysts with approx 1200 field staff working on the job. IMRB has setup panels in neighboring Sri Lanka and Bangladesh besides India.
