Privacy Policy

We recognize that you should have the right to know what data we collect about you, how the data we collect is used and what controls you have over that data. Kantar is home to some of world’s leading data and insights expertise. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Please refer to the ‘Key Terms’ section below which sets out the definitions for capitalized terms that are used in this Privacy Policy.

What information do we collect?

We may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide

We receive and store the information you enter while registering with us on our websites or mobile applications. This would include demographic information including but not limited to your age-range, gender, town-class (i.e. large or small town) and socio-economic classification. The information will be self-reported by you.

Log and other information

When you register with us, we may use software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

Google, Yahoo!, and Outlook

Prospect may request permission to link with your Google, Yahoo, and/or Outlook account. If you grant the application permission to access your Google, Yahoo, and/or Outlook account, we will collect information from your profile regarding purchase behavior.

Your emails

The Prospect application may request permission to obtain read-only access to your email account. If you grant the application permission to access your email account, we will have ‘read only’ access to your emails (including their content) and will automatically collect information from your emails about e-commerce purchase transactions including receipts, details of what was purchased, the merchant from which the goods/services were purchased, the amount spent and the date of purchase. We will do this by searching for specific search terms (such as names of known merchants) in your emails. Granting us access to your emails will enable us to collect more information about your purchases. You should grant us this access only if you are comfortable with us having access to your emails. You can also revoke our access to your email account at any time by revoking Prospect in the Settings feature of your respective Google, Yahoo!, or Outlook account.

How do we use your information?

To manage your Account(s)

We use the information you provide us and the purchase information we collect to track, process and understand your shopping preferences and report this behaviour back to you so you have better insight and control of your online shopping behaviour. In addition, we may use this information to keep you informed of new features and product developments as well as to provide more relevant offers to you. We will do so by sending you emails and sending you notifications.

To contact you

We may use the contact information we receive from you to contact you via email, telephone or other channels such as text messaging. In each case provided we are permitted by law to send these communications to you. We may also use your contact information to provide you administrative communications from time to time about our service (such as details of an update to one of our mobile applications or planned maintenance).

To develop, evaluate, improve and deliver our products and services

We use the information that we collect to develop, evaluate, improve and deliver our product and services. For example, if we learn from the information that we collect that certain categories of products are highly valuable to our Registered Users, we may offer you more services for those products.

Fulfil legal and regulatory requirements

We may use the information we collect to comply with national, state, or other applicable laws and regulations.

Protect our rights or property or our Registered Users

We also may use the information we collect to the extent we believe it is necessary or appropriate to enforce or apply our rights under our agreements with Registered Users, and/or to protect the rights, property or safety of Kantar and our Registered Users and others.

How do we share your information?

Within Kantar

We share anonymized respondent information within Kantar. This information may be combined with other information that we hold and aggregate to improve our services. The information that we share within Kantar will not include your information in a form from which you can be identified.

Business transfers

If there is a change of control in our business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise), your information could be included as part of that transaction and could be used by the purchaser within the same business or more widely within the purchaser’s own business.

Protection of Kantar and others

We may disclose information about you to third parties when we believe such disclosure is appropriate to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena or search warrant, or during a legal proceeding. We may also disclose your information as we believe appropriate to enforce or apply our rights under our agreements with Registered Users, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Kantar, our Registered Users and others, including exchanging information for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
